May you be filled with God’s joy this season.
May you, filled with God’s joy, be like a child opening presents, easily delighted, showing everybody what you got, and curious about what’s in the next package.
“What might God give me today? Where will I see Him working next? Let’s find Him!”
And when God’s gifts to you are perplexing, may you take joy in seeking His heart. May that search be like finding Waldo in those Where’s Waldo books, even if you don’t particularly like Where’s Waldo and you think looking for him is a headache. May you take comfort, knowing He is there. There’s been no mistake. . . even though you can’t seem to find him.
May you take comfort knowing that God is there. And if looking becomes joyless and you want to give up, may God give you, among His many gifts, people who will sit next you and say, “I think I see Him in the lower left hand corner. Isn’t that Him over there? That looks like Him.”
May God send you people who will train your eyes to see Christ with us and in us and working through us until your joy returns in the daily search. And finally, if perchance you discover it’s not God who’s been hiding, may you have courage to say, “God, here I am. You found me. Please, fill me with the joy of your presence once more.”
Thank you for sharing this with your family this morning.
Very sweet!
