A few weeks before Christmas, I got a great pep talk from my husband’s aunt, Robin Cox. I was annoyed about living in this materialistic culture at Christmas. I don’t like stuff and I don’t like how much money we spend on things that end up in the trash a few months later. I also don’t like the pressure of this deadline, December 25th, hanging over my head.

Hurry! Hurry! The clock is ticking. The days on the calendar are going fast. Here’s another party. Here’s another gift exchange. Your child needs to bring in a pair of Christmas socks on this day and dress up like a reindeer on this day and bring five tubs of frosting into school this other day.
