I’ve just finished reading The 4-Hour School Day by Durenda Wilson, and it was fantastic! I don’t understand why it’s called The 4-Hour School Day. It’s not about how to have a 4-hour school day but whatever. I forgive Durenda because she has an unusual name and her book spoke truth to me.
Durenda explains a philosophy of education that I’ve been contemplating over the last four years. It’s viewing the day-to-day happenings as opportunities God gives us to learn about him and his world.
In homeschooling, it’s discovering how God is already leading and growing my children, and joining God’s plan in teaching my children about him and his world.
