Sunday, May 24, 2020 Today was actually restful. Watched church in the living room with Shannon, Auntie Bev, Gilbert, Jacob, and Cherise. Instead of being a distraction, the children tried singing the worship songs, and Johnny just wanted to cuddle. Wasn’t self-conscious about singing out loud like I have been in the past. Each of our voices was necessary and beautiful. Nor was I disturbed when Jacob Belle criticized the technical imperfections. The tech team needed to increase the bandwidth. The lighting was a strange green color. So-and-so’s head was too shiny. This coupled with Dianne’s church bingo usually makes it extra challenging for me to pay attention, but today Auntie Bev told Jacob, “I’m sure the tech team at Quaker Community would love your help on Sundays.” “Why help, when you can complain?” Jacob joked. Auntie Bev laughed. “She’s telling you in a nice way to shut up,” Cherise said.
