Meals are sacrifices of dollars or time over a cutting board. Sacrifices made from one to another like a gift or compliment or friendly embrace. What I have I share with you to sustain you. And those who eat accept. Meals are portions of goodness baked into our existence. Occasions to sacrifice or accept sacrifice. To admit we've enough and remember we need too. And those who eat are nourished to share. We eat to live. Receive to give Always one before the other. Never one without the other. Like God’s grace to us. What He has He shares with us to sustain us. And those who eat receive the gift, accept His goodness and are nourished to share.

That's a great story!
Verl once told the congregation about a widow he knew who put her whole weeks grocery money in the offering plate when it was passed around to help a certain family. “… and she is still with us today”. His point was that if we give with the assuring faith that God will repay us, He will.
