I’ve just returned from a week of camp counseling at Thousand Pines Christian Camp. And while I am bruised, sore, sleep-deprived, have indigestion, am coming down with a cold, and am pretty sure my eardrums will be permanently damaged from the worship music volume, it was so worth it. The camp was everything I remember as a kid and more. And there were new layers to this experience as an adult and parent. My twelve-year-old son attended with me. I was basically nonexistent to him for the first few days, but by day three we were rock climbing together and worshipping side by side in chapel. That was special.
